Our latest clinic precautions for hygiene

What we are doing:

  • Our clinic is cleaned daily and deep cleaned fortnightly.
  • We are increasing how often we disinfect regularly touched surfaces (eg. door handles, benches, light switches, computers, face pieces) with disposable wipes and sprays.
  • Our team will be regularly using hand sanitiser in between handwashing.
  • Our team are fit and healthy for work, however should they fall ill we have advised that it is best practice to rest at home. Our reception team will contact you to reschedule or rebook with another one our team. We ask for your understanding and patience if this does occur.
  • All of our glassware are washed and dried in a high temperature dishwasher.
  • Our hydration station has been kept out of public use however if you are thirsty and would like a water or tea please ask your practitioner and will happily fetch one for you.
  • All linens are changed for each patient and washed and dried to council regulations onsite and stored in clean and enclosed cabinetry.
  • All tools used for practice are sterilised onsite in commercial machines according to association laws.
  • Our heating/cooling system has regular filter cleans.
  • Our reception area has designated spots on where to stand when waiting for assistance and we have reduced our waiting room chairs to ensure social distancing.
  • All kids toys/magazines and community flyers have been removed for the time being.
  • Reducing the need for use of pens by signing all hicaps/medicare and credit card transactions with ‘covid19’
  • Only accepting card payments for contactless transactions.

What we need from you:

  • If you have travelled overseas or interstate that you ensure you are self isolating for 2 weeks before visiting us.
  • If you are currently unwell that you please reschedule your appointment with us and take this time to rest and recover at home.
  • If you are well and have a scheduled appointment that you make use of hand sanitiser or our hand washing facilities during your visit with us.
  • If you are over the age of 70, immune compromised or considered high risk (eg. diabetes, pre existing heart and lung conditions that you consider your visit or alert us on what you may need when you arrive.
  • If you present to our clinic with a cold/flu against our advice and that of our current state government that we have been advised by our professional associations to refuse treatment in the best health interest of our practitioners and community.
  • Ensure that you have the correct cards for payment, unfortunately during this time we can no longer take cash payments.

New mental health space

During this time we acknowledge that self care is essential and as some of our healthcare services are ceasing it is paramount that mental health remains available and a priority. In light of this we have designed a new mental health space in our building dedicated to your care, combined with government recommendations.

Our new room features:

  • It is larger, with 10.5sqm allowing both practitioner and patient to share this space comfortably and safely within the 4sqm per person rule.
  • Has access to beautiful natural light and an opening window for fresh air.
  • Has a hand sensor tap for handsfree washing and drying of your hands.
  • We have installed an aromatherapy diffuser which aids in purifying the air.
  • No rugs, blankets or carpets have been placed in the room to keep our disinfecting and cleaning simple.
  • All soft furnishings are sprayed between patients and we have stocked our cabinets with fresh single use linen in case you would prefer this to be placed over your seat.
  • There is a bathroom adjacent to the room and where possible our entire upstairs will be dedicated to this new space.
