Remedial Massage is the perfect combination of a medium to firm pressure which can be applied to the full body or to specific areas of pain or muscular discomfort. If you are training for a sporting event, suffering with DOMS (delayed onset of muscle soreness) post sporting event or exercise routine or even just needing some stress relief and down time then this style of treatment is perfect for you. All of our Remedial Massage therapists are highly qualified and can assist you with many injuries and conditions. Having sore muscles and soft tissues can create poor postural patterns and reduce your muscles ability to function at their peak so maintaining healthy muscle function is key to reducing pain and preventing acute pain and dysfunction.
Meet our Remedial Massage Team
Krenoula has been practising in her field since 1998 making her a senior remedial massage therapist, which is unique in her industry. In this time she has gathered hands on knowledge and experience that has been invaluable to her clients. She will share this knowledge and insights and educate you about your condition so that you can be empowered in your own healing process, which she believes produces better results.
As a qualified and accredited senior therapist trained in paramedical and holistic practices at the Southern School of Natural Medicine, a leader in their field, she is also a powerful and gifted Reiki healer.
Combining this knowledge allows her to work intuitively with healing hands, while also exercising evidence based practices. Her ability to accurately assess your condition enables her to treat the cause of your condition and not just band aid your symptoms, making her treatments long standing.
A treatment will restore greater range of movement and function to your body while also eliminating your pain and destructive toxins. Massage can also rejuvenate your lymphatic system and drive blood flow to your muscles repairing, tendons, ligaments and connective tissue. Her ability to tune into your body’s responses is a rare and special talent that makes her services invaluable to her clients whilst juggling todays demanding challenges. Krenoula is committed to rejuvenating your body, mind and soul, by creating a more peaceful, pain-free and happier you.
When Krenoula isn’t treating you will find her in the gym doing yoga or spin. She also enjoys adventure sports, travelling, hiking in nature or her photography. She also like to spend social time with family and friends.
I am passionate about health, wellbeing and facilitating the body to function at optimal level. My aims are to improve mobility whilst alleviating pain and to have a positive influence on people’s lives. I am continually inspired seeing firsthand the improvements in range of motion, pain relief and overall health of clients receiving Myotherapy treatments.
Shakti Gawain said “Our bodies communicate to us clearly and specifically, if we are willing to listen.’ I have found this to be true time and time again throughout my career. I place focus on understanding the cause of discomfort rather than just the symptoms in order to maintain the benefits of treatment in the long term.
Joanne Spriggs joins our team at Contagious Enthusiasm, after having worked for the last six years with clients with chronic conditions such as Multiple Sclerosis (MS), Motor Neuron Disease and Osteoporosis. Joanne completed her Advanced Diploma of Myotherapy in 2005 at RMIT University, and in 2009 Joanne commenced work as a teacher within the Myotherapy and Remedial Massage programs at RMIT University. This enabled Joanne to combine her two passions of treating clients and teaching students. During her career as a Myotherapist, Joanne has been privileged to have had the opportunity to work alongside other allied health practitioners, soft tissue therapists and a variety of clients, with varying conditions and complaints.
Joanne’s background in exercise science coupled with her qualification as a Myotherapist enables her to view and treat the whole person, by placing a special emphasis on looking at a client’s overall general health, wellbeing and fitness levels. Joanne has a particular interest in treating musculoskeletal conditions associated with poor posture and headaches.
In 2007 and then again in 2010 Joanne took some time off work to give birth to her two gorgeous girls, Grace and Piper. These days Joanne aims to balance life as a busy Mum, Myotherapist and teacher with her other passions of yoga, hiking and maintaining her overall personal health and wellbeing. As a Myotherapist Joanne’s philosophy on treating is very simple, empower your clients through knowledge and always smile!
